Rei Nouchi is the Assistant professor at the school of medicine, Shinshu University. He is also the Visiting Research Fellow of the Association for the Promotion of Research Integrity (APRIN). He is coordinating the development and creation of e-learning materials as a researcher for APRIN and conducting RCR training at many research institutions as a lecturer. Nouchi's research interest is the philosophy of science, focusing on epistemology in science. He has received several external funds for his research which integrate the philosophy of science with the area of research ethics and research integrity. Recently, Nouchi investigated a study focusing on governance structures in research institutions for promoting the activities of a faculty and staff who support researchers on research ethics and research integrity in a research study commissioned by Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED)'s the Research and Development Program for Enhancement of Research Integrity. The findings was compiled into guidelines for fostering a research climate at research institutions.
