Dr. Masaki Nakamura received his PhD degree from the University of Tokyo in 2005. After working as a research associate at Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, and as a research fellow at National Institute of Science and Technology Policy, MEXT, he assumed a post of Associate Professor at Osaka University in 2007 and was promoted to professor in 2021. He also assumes the board member of the Association for the Promotion of Research Integrity (APRIN). His research area is a wide range including Research Integrity, Science Communication, and the History of Science and Technology. His current research interest in research integrity is two-fold. First, to develop a mechanism for research institutions to understand the current status of their laboratories in terms of research integrity. The second is to clarify the boundary between appropriate and inappropriate research practices in each discipline, as research practices vary somewhat from discipline to discipline.
