Jun Fudano is Professor at the Center for Higher Education Studies of Waseda University since 2020. He was Professor of Science and Engineering Ethics at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) from 2015 to 2020 and was Professor and Director of the Applied Ethics Center for Engineering and Science at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT).
Fudano has been instrumental in promoting engineering and science ethics education in Japan and taught at various institutions including the University of Tokyo, the Open University of Japan, Hitachi, and Tokyo Electric Power Company. He has been involved in planning and implementing an ethics program in various organizations, including the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Japanese Society for Engineering Education. He was a member of the World Commission of the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST) of UNESCO from 2003 to 2009.
