Dr. Lee is a professor at Seoul National University of Education (SNUE) and has taught research ethics in universities and national research institutes since 2007. He was a member of the 5th Research Ethics Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. He is also Secretary-General of the Korean University Council of Research Ethics (KUCRE). Since 2007, he has also worked as a member of the Committee of Investigation of Research Misconduct in universities and conducted various policy projects at the Ministry of Education for the plagiarism guideline establishment, and a survey of research ethics activities in universities and national research institutes as an expert. He was the chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the 2014 International Forum on Research Ethics (IFRE) (Oct. 30 - 31. 2014 in Seoul) and 2021 Seoul APRI Network Conference (Feb. 25. 2021). He served as the director of The Center for Research Ethics Information (www.cre.or.kr) designated by the Ministry of Education from Oct. 2016 to Mar. 2021. He published his book <Understanding Research Ethics and Ethical Practice> in 2015.
